Textile Rental Services Association (www.trsa.org) and Uniform & Textile Services Association (www.utsa.com) are non-profit associations representing uniform and textile service and supply companies. Both associations have been in existence for more than 60 years and together represent more than 1,500 facilities and over 90 percent of the textile service and supply industry. The textile service and supply industry rents textile items such as sheets, pillow cases, table linen, uniforms, health care items, shop and print towels, floor mats, mops, and other items to hotels, restaurants, hospitals, clinics, retail businesses, and thousands of industrial and commercial companies. UTSA and TRSA members' customers rely on the industry for several reasons, such as hygienically clean and protective textiles for safeguarding the health of their employees and customers, protecting product quality, and promoting professional image.

UTSA and TRSA account for over 90 percent of the annual sales generated by the textile service and supply industry. The linen supply and industrial laundering industries have combined annual revenue of approximately $12 billion per year (2001) and employ more than 132,000 people nationwide.
